Our love for the bee & nature
has its roots many decades back, in a small village outside Kalavryta, where Grandfather Aristeidis had five beehives in his garden for his household honey.
For us, beekeeping began as a way of life, with respect for the environment and deep knowledge of natural cycles. From generation to generation, experience and passion were passed on, creating the foundations for what today constitutes our business, “Melissides”. |

| In 2012, this tradition moved to a professional level, with the vision of creating pure and certified organic bee products. With the support of the entire family and a continuous presence in the mountains of the Peloponnese, it evolved into a modern business that preserves its traditional values unchanged. |

| The significant collaborations with two of the largest hotels in Greece, along with the strong response of our products from the public, are the motivation for maintaining approximately 1,000 bee colonies for the production of certified organic honey. |

Our product range includes selected varieties of organic honey, royal jelly, pollen, and organic honeycomb with honey. Each product comes from selected areas with rich flora, such as the mountains of the Peloponnese, Phocis, and Evia, offering unique aromas and flavor characteristics.
Special emphasis is placed on the natural origin and purity of our products. Our honeys differ depending on the plant and the area of collection, offering a distinct tasting experience in every spoonful. The organic honeycomb with honey and the royal jelly stand out for their nutritional value and authenticity.

The production process
Our production always begins with respect for the bee and its natural environment. Our bee colonies are placed in areas far from pollution, allowing the bees to collect nectar and honeydew in a clean ecosystem, without interventions.
Honey harvesting is carried out using gentle methods, without thermal processing, so that nutrients and natural aromas remain intact. The organic honeycomb with honey is carefully cut by hand, while royal jelly is collected with precision and expertise, strictly following quality standards.
Packaging and standardization take place in modern facilities, certified with international food safety standards ISO 22000 and HACCP 22000. Every stage is meticulously controlled, so that the final product reflects our philosophy: naturalness, purity, and high nutritional value. |
